The CV for our 2013 Championship Show Judge, Marina Volkova.

Dogs have been in my life since childhood. Our first dog was a mixed-breed. After that we took on an Eastern European Shepherd, then I started my hobby of dog training. Then I madly fell in love with German Shepherd, started serious training and took part in various competitions. At first I was organizing a German Shepherd department in the club. Dogs bred by me had a prefix “iz Solovyinogo Kraya”. Many dogs with this prefix have been famous and won major shows. Continue reading →

The July-August 2013 edition of the Welsh Corgi Club of Victoria’s bi-monthly newsletter, the Corgi Chatter, has just been sent off to the printers. If you are a current member you can receive it by email in glorious technicolor as a PDF document. The email edition gets sent as soon as we send the file off to the printers, so you get it earlier and in colour!

Hello, welcome to the new website for the Welsh Corgi Club of Victoria. We
have got all of the old material here from the old website, it’s just been
reformatted and presented a little differently.

The old site is still around, and if you have a hankering for it I have it tucked away, but still accessible.

Everything should now be a little easier to update now, so I will start to
add some more posts as time permits. If you have any suggestions for the
site or for the Corgi Chatter please drop me an email.

2013 Annual General Meeting, Open Show & Restricted Obedience Trial

The 2013 Annual General Meeting will held on Saturday, 27th April 2013.  The AGM will be held in conjunction with the Open Show and Restricted Obedience Trial; entries close on Friday 12th April. A Members Competition will also be held on the same day with entries taken on the day. Mr Alistair Henderson is judging the Open Show, Mr Fred Brueckner is judging the Obedience Trial, and Ms Sally Stasytis is judging the Members Competition.

We look forward to seeing as many members as possible there.

Please note any General Business items and Nomination Forms should be forwarded to the Secretary by Friday, 5th April 2013.

55th Championship Show Critique

I’d like to thank the officers and committee of the Welsh Corgi Club of
Victoria for inviting me to judge their 55th Annual Championship Show.
In particular I would like to thank the club’s president Mrs. Glenda Cook
for the overwhelming hospitality she afforded my wife and I and in
addition I must thank my stewards for their sterling work on the day.
